Classic Baked Mac & Cheese 🧀🍽️
A creamy, cheesy, baked delight with a crunchy golden topping—this mac & cheese is the ultimate comfort food!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour until smooth.
- Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese, mustard powder, and salt.
- Mix cheese sauce with cooked macaroni and pour into a baking dish.
- Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
🧀 Upgrade It: Add crispy bacon or caramelized onions for extra flavor!
