Homemade Chicken Pot Pie 🥧🐔
A golden, flaky crust filled with creamy chicken and vegetables—nothing says comfort like a homemade chicken pot pie!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour. Cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add cooked chicken, carrots, peas, celery, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Pour mixture into a pie dish and cover with pie crust, sealing the edges.
- Cut slits on top and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
